Basically, plasma cutting process encompasses generation of an electric channel of electrically ionized gas, which is heated at high temperature levels. The compressed gas is blown through a high-speed nozzle. This forms a completed electric circuit with plasma cutter through a grounding clamp. Type of compressed gas depends on the material. The electrical arc ionizes the gas to create an electrically conductive channel of plasma. Electricity from the cutter is delivered to plasma’s torch nozzle, which delivers enough high levels to melt metal based on specifications. Compressed gas and high-speed plasma are the key for this cutting process.
